Products

Our goal is not to give you a long list of items to choose from but rather to carefully select the items that we think are worth your time. Products that are of good quality, that have lasting value, that are equivalent or better than a higher priced item that can fulfill your unique needs.

Purchasing Fundamentals

Why do we limit choices?

In our product recommendation line you will find our recommendations based on our latest research. Our endeavor is not to show you hundreds of products but to let you focus on the ones that we consider to have the greatest value over the longest length of time (between 5 and 10 years).

Purchase it while it is cheap.

We understand that you can find cheaper deals on the internet for a short time purchase but overall that may not be the best decision for long term financial planning. We believe that you should try to buy a product only once instead of spending money replacing bad products which can be very costly and waste value time that you could have spent doing other things At times, the technology may not be good enough to justify the purchase of a high end product so in that case it would be better to purchase something in the middle that is simple to use instead of the most recent model.

Depreciation

Some purchases have such a fast depreciation value that it makes it impractical from a financial perspective to buy it new, so the used product or refurbished one maybe a better decision. Other products are very sophisticated to repair, upgrade and replace so it may be better to spend more money on those types of products so as not to become stuck in a buying cycle.

Monthly charges

Overall you should avoid purchases with monthly fees and look for purchases that are one time purchases that will suffice for many years. Also, monthly charges normally increase after a trial period and you may forget about the automatic renewals from services that you no longer use.
